Canteen Spout with Collar - Marked HADDEN. PORTER & BOOTH. PHILa

This excavated pewter canteen spout includes its tin collar. The spout is marked "HADDEN. PORTER & BOOTH. PHILa". Typically, when canteen spouts are recovered, their collars aren't present. This example was recovered in the Gettysburg, PA area and is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite or general relic collection.

An example of a Hadden Porter & Booth canteen with a similar spout with collar is found in the following relic reference book:

  • "U.S. ARMY & MILITIA CANTEENS, 1775-1910" on page 135, canteen 150.

See above page in the additional images.
