This excavated Confederate .58 caliber two-ring Gardner "blow-thru" bullet is a unique and interesting relic. Due to the thin walls of the bullet nose, a result of faulty casting, the force of firing caused the bullet to be "blown-through". This Confederate .58 caliber Gardner bullet is still soil coated and measures 3/4 inch in length and weighs 322 grains. It will be an excellent educational or display piece for any Civil war bullet or general relic collection.
