Confederate Wreath for "CS" Two-Piece Belt Plate

Item: ExcavatedConfederate wreath for two-piece "CS" tongue and wreath belt plate.
Construction: Cast brass.
Condition: Good. The brass has a deep dark green patina with a few darker and lighter areas. There is a wave in the wreath portion but will still be able to allow a "CS" tongue to nicely lay flat and the keeper is bent inwards (see additional pictures). There are some very tiny stress cracks in the wreath's surface at about the 10:30 o'clock position, visible in the first image, and do not affect its structual integrity.
Comments: This wreath was originally acquired directly from the digger and I have included four additional images of the wreath with a CS tongue to demonstrate how nicely the wreath will accept it. The CS tongue pictured with the wreath in the additional images is not included.
