Mississippi Infantry Coat Button

Backmark: "Hyde & Goodrich. / N-O." rmdc
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Condition: Good, excavated, shank missing. Brown patina with light gilt around star and some letters of "MISSISSIPPI". The button shows wear and there is a very mild push to the left of the star in the 9:30 o'clock position. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Comments: This button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
