P-1853 Enfield Musket Hammer

This excavated pattern 1853 Enfield musket hammer is in very good condition. It was acquired dirctly from the digger who recovered it from the area of Cedar Creek, VA. The local retired digger, who hunted relics several decades ago, kept good records of his finds by marking them with with a small label. Though rusty from ground action the iron is stable and this hammer will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite, battlefield, or general relic collection.
