US Belt Buckle

Item: Non-excavatedUS oval waist belt buckle.
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with raised letters "US". The rear has solder fill and arrow type attachment hooks.
Condition: Excellent, non-excavated. Its brass front has a very pleasing even brown patina. The rear has all three arrow type attachment hooks as well as a complete complement of solder. There are some minor bends and dents in the areas of the rim but otherwise there are no cracks, breaks, repairs, or major bends.
Comments: The face of this plate has a beautiful untouched patina for a non-excavated example and will be an excellent addition to any Civil War plate or general relic collection.
Approximate size: 55 x 87 mm.
