US
Infantry Poncho Hook or Tent Button
This US Infantry poncho hook
or tent button is in outstanding condition and is by far the best I have
come across. The face of the button has plenty of gilt and has no
pushes or cracks. The rear still has the hook present which is
remarkably sharp. The back of the button, which appears to be rubber,
has a patent date which still clearly reads ""PAT. JULY. 29. 1862."
This fine poncho hook or tent button device will be
an
excellent addition to any Civil War campsite or general relic collection.

New
York Cuff & US Infantry Button Group
This group of eight excavated coat and cuff buttons consists of two US
Infantry coat buttons, 1 New York, and 5 US Infantry cuff buttons. All
are in fair to very good condition and all but one has its shank.
These were all recovered in the Richmond, Va.
vicinity in the 1950 - 60's by local relic
hunter, Jim Cullinan. Jim was one of the early Civil War relic hunters
that started out with a true "army mine detector" that actually required a
backpack to operate.
This group of eight buttons will be
an
excellent addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
