1795 P Liberty Cap Large Cent - Plain Edge

This 1795 large penny was recovered in 1995 by a Virginia digger in the Fredericksburg area. This coin was minted at Philadelphia in only the 3rd year that coins were minted in the US. It is constructed of 100% copper and measures approximately 29 mm. in diameter. While this very early American coin shows some wear, it has no bends, damage, or repairs and will be an excellent addition to add to any coin or general relic collection.
