Item: Bridle Rosette
Construction: Possible silvered brass front with iron back and attachment bar.
Approximate size: 1-3/4 inches
Condition: Very good, excavated, complete with attachment hook present. There is a crack on the front in the 6:30 position and a break on the rim as you will see in the additional images. Otherwise, this solid device has no bends, repairs or other cracks or breaks.
Recovered: Culpeper County, VA
Comments: This rosette was acquired directly from the digger's family and was excavated along with Civil War relics. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated horse tack or general relic collection.
