Bullet in Wood

SOLD

This excavated bullet is securely lodged within a large chunk of wood which was recovered from a Civil War site in the Richmond, VA area. The bullet has a grey-white patina and appears to be .58 caliber in size with three rings. The wood is solid and, interestingly, has the shape of a pistol. The wood section measures approximately 4-3/4 x 6-1/4 x 1-3/4 inches.
