Construction: Brass with solder fill.
Approximate size: 1-3/4 inches
Condition: Very good, excavated, missing attachment device. Very pleasing green-brown patina. No bends, cracks, repairs, or other breaks.
Recovered: Harrison's Landing, Charles City County, VA.
Reference: An example can be found in "Civil War Artifacts" by Howard Crouch on page 133, item 6 and also in "Excavated Artifacts from Battlefields and Campsites of The Civil War" by Stanley S. Phillips on page 80 as item 3.
