Camp Pot Hook

SOLD

This excavated iron pot hook is designed to hold two pots over a camp fire. It is in good condition and functional. It measures approximately 15 inches from its axis to its hooks when closed. When fully open it spans approximately 19 inches from hook to hook. The device has been run through electrolysis so as to preserve the iron. A similar example can be found in "Excavated Artifacts from Battlefields and Campsites of The Civil War" by Stanley S. Phillip, page 150, item 1. See the additional images for a scan of this page. This pot hook will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War cooking equipment, campsite, or general relic collection.
