Civil War Relics from North Anna, VA

SOLD

At one time the excavated Civil War relics in this display represented what a digger could have recovered on an average day of relic hunting. Today, it would be considered a "great day" of relic hunting. Included in the display are a brass rivets, percussion cap, brass tack ornament, iron musket barrel band, brass equipment buckle, flat button, bayonet scabbard drag, soldiers pocket knife, belt clip adjuster, and harmonica reeds. As noted on the digger's display label these relics were recovered from a "FEDERAL FIELD HOSPITAL / Hackett site SE of Carmel Ch. / North Anna Battlefield / Caroline Co., VA" The items were acquired directly from the family of the digger who hunted Civil War trails, campsites, and battle sites throughout central Virginia and adjacent states for several decades. These relics will be an excellent Civil War relic display for any den, family room or office or, to add to any general relic collection. The glass top display case and digger's label are included. The display case measures approximately 8-1/4 x 12-1/4 x 3/4 inches.
