Percussion Nipple

SOLD

This excavated percussion firearm nipple, constructed of iron, is rusty but in good stable condition.  The nipple held the percussion cap subsequently hit by the hammer to send a spark to the cylinder or barrel of the gun for firing. It measures approximately .58 inches in length and .23 inches in diameter at the threads.  This small relic will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War firearm or general relic collection.
