Item: Regimental Number "1"
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, attachment device missing. The brass has a rich brown patina. There are no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs.
Recovered: Stafford County, VA
Approximate size: .53 (at base) x 1.04 inch.
Comments: Regimental numbers adorned the soldier's uniform to identify them to a particular regiment and this number "1" will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia or general relic collection.
