This excavated Confederate .58 caliber Gardner "blow-thru" bullet is a unique relic and was recovered in the area of Fredericksburg, VA. Due to the thin walls of the bullet nose, caused by improper casting, the force of the firing would cause the bullet to be "blown-through". The bullet measures 1.47 inches in length and will be an excellent educational or display piece for any Civil war bullet or general relic collection.
