Comments: This button was acquired directly from the digger's family. Included in the additional images is an image of the digger's index card for this relic indicating, in most cases, the relic's identification, assessment of condition, recovery date & location, and other general information. An image of this index card will be included along with the description and image of the relic. Pictures of the Watt House have also been included in the additional images. For several reasons, these buttons are one of my favorite relics of the Civil War. Its simplicity in design, its weight, and, from time to time, its manufacturing crudeness, make a very attractive and thoroughly Confederate produced and used button. These buttons were made to last and this is one of the nicest examples I have come across. This Confederate Infantry button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
