Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Good, excavated, secure shank present. The front of this Confederate infantry button has a raised Roman lined letter "I" with a moderate push to the lower right. It has an overall smooth brown-green patina. The rear is pushed with the shank bent over to the back. Otherwise, there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: During the 1970's from the Petersburg, VA area.
