Confederate One Hundred Dollar Note - 1862

 This Confederate one hundred dollar note is in excellent condition.  Printed by "Keatinge & Ball. Columbia. S.C", as shown on the front at the bottom left, it is dated "Dec 15 1862" and is hand numbered in red.  The note shows slaves weeding cotton in the center with an image of J. C. Calhoun to the left with "Confederacy" personified at right.  The blank rear has an "Issued From" stamp indicating Jackson. Miss. and two "Interest Paid" stamps, one at Montgomery and one at Jackson.  There are no pin holes or creases in the note, the color is good ,and the paper is crisp.  This note will be an excellent addition to any Civil War currency or general relic collection and will come in a clear acid free envelope for preservation and display.  Ref.
