Design:
 The front shows Liberty seated by eagle and shield with CSA flag in the center with an allegory to the lower left. The note is hand numbered in red and signed in black ink. Printed on the note is "Five years after date / The CONFEDERATE States of America / Will pay to Bearer TEN DOLLARS / Richmond, VA. / July 25, 1861 / Six Months after the Ratification of a Treaty of Peace between the Confederate States and the United States / Receivable in payment of all dues except export dues / Fundable in Confederate States Stock bearing Eight per Cent interest" The rear is blank.
Approximate size:
 3-1/4 x 7-3/16 inches.
Condition:
 Good. Borders nearly complete. The rear of the note has been repaired where linear holes are present in the vertical and horizontal creases which are visible if held up to a good light. The paper is semi-crisp and discolored.
