Eagle Plate

Item: Excavated US eagle plate.
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with solder fill.
Condition: Good, excavated. Its brass face has a dusty green patina with patches of brown. There is a small rust bump on the face near the 2 o'clock position, and a very slight wave in the body of the plate, but otherwise there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. All of the rear solder is present but the two iron wire attachment loops are missing.
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate diameter: 64 mm.
Comments: This eagle plate will be an excellent display piece and addition to any excavated Civil War plate or general relic collection.
