Excavated Civil War Relics

These excavated Civil War relics were recovered from various Civil War campsites, battlefields and trails in central Virginia. This case includes the following Civil War relics:

Top row L-R:
Pulled misfired .58 caliber type I Williams cleaner bullet.
Middle row L-R: .58 caliber Washington Arsenal “star base” 3-ring bullet, .69 caliber round ball, & .58 caliber Confederate Gardner bullet.
Bottom row: .69 caliber “fat boy” 3-ring bullet.

They are displayed, without adhesive, in a 4 1/2 (W) x 5 1/2 (L) x 3/4 (D) inch glass top Riker display case which will be included. The items are held in place by the pressure of the glass top resting upon the items and the rear felt covered batting material.  The case and its glass top are secured by straight pins on either side of the box.  All items are in excavated relic condition ranging from fair to very good. This group of Virginia excavated relics will be an excellent display for any American history buff.
