This excavated Indian Head cent, dated 1864, was recovered in the area of Cedar Creek, VA along with other Civil War relics. The coin has an awesome emerald green patina and much of its detail is very crisp. The face has some areas of soil encrustation but otherwise the coin has no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs. This Indian Head penny will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War coin, campsite, or general relic collection.
