US Model 1861 Musket Lock, Bullets, & General Service Button

SOLD

This relic group consists of an excavated US Model 1861 musket lock with hammer, three bullets, and a general service coat button. All were included in a small collection of Civil War relics recently acquired by Virginia Relics. The majority of the collection was recovered in the Virginia area, however this group was labeled "Gettysburg". The iron lock is in good solid stable condition. Two of the three bullets are .58 caliber three ring examples and the other is a .52 caliber Sharps carbine bullet. The general service coat button is in excellent condition and has a dusty dark green patina. This small group will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War relic collection.
