Comments: The back mark is difficult to see but with a good light, it was determined that the back mark is as stated above and not what the digger believed it to be as stated on his index card. Included in the additional images of the button is an image of the digger's index card indicating, in most cases, the button's identification, assessment of condition, recovery date & location and other general information. An image of this card will be included with the button. In cases where there are discrepancies between the digger's description and Virginia Relic's description, Virginia Relic's description shall be deemed correct. This button was acquired directly from the digger's family and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
