Item: Model 1859 Cavalry Horse Curb Bit with "US" Bosses
Construction:
Iron and brass.
Approximate size:
 Stamped "3". Height of arch: 1.5 inch; overall measurement: 6-5/8 x 9-1/4 inches. 
Condition: 
Excellent, non-excavated, complete with curb bit chain and bosses. Minor bends from use. Both bosses have a dull brass patina. The number "3", notating size, is stamped into the interior iron just opposite one of the bosses. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
