Confederate Fifty Cent Note

This original Confederate fifty cent note is in good condition, is dated February 17, 1864, and was printed by "Archer & Halpin" of Richmond, VA. The note is hand signed by the Register and Treasurer and issued with a side view of Jefferson Davis. Printed on the note is "Richmond / Feb. 17th..1864 / The Confederate States of America / Will pay FIFTY CENTS to bearer. / Two Years after the Ratification of a Treaty of Peace between the Confederate States and United States / ENGRAVED BY ARCHER AND HALPIN, RICHMOND, VA.''. It is machined numbered "5635". The rear is blank. The paper is crisp with complete borders. There are two pinholes visible if held up to a good light. This handsome note will come in a clear acid free envelope for preservation and display and will be an excellent addition to any Civil War note or general relic collection. Ref. Criswell T-72.
