Item: Confederate .36 Caliber Colt Navy Pistol Bullet
Condition: Good, excavated, unfired. Waxy surface with grey-white patina. The nose tip of the bullet is dented with old damage. One side of the bullet is marked with the numeral "497" in black ink (see Comments below).
Approximate size: .394 inch diameter, .595 inch length, 147.0 grains weight.

Comments: This example is from a very old bullet collection. The digger/collector identified and numbered each bullet with its corresponding McKee & Mason bullet reference number. This bullet will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
