Item: Regimental Number "6"
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass.
Condition: Very good, excavated, wire loops missing. The brass has a very pleasing chocolate brown patina. There is a tiny period dent to the lower left portion but otherwise has no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs.
Recovered: In the area of Spotsylvania Court House, VA at the Alsop Farm.
Approximate size: 11/16 x 1-1/8 inch.
Comments: This regimental number "6" will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia or general relic collection.
