Union & Confederate Petersburg Campaign Relic Display

SOLD

These excavated Union and Confederate Civil War relics were recently acquired directly from the digger who recovered them from various sites associated with the Petersburg, Virginia campaign of 1864-1865. The case includes 15 excavated items which are all listed and described on the rear of the display indicating the type of item, caliber, location and date of recovery. A close up image of this list is included in the additional images to the left of this description. They are displayed in a 12-1/4(W) x 16-1/4(L) x 1(D) inch glass top Riker display case which will be included. The items are held in place by the pressure of the glass top resting upon the items and the rear felt covered batting material. The case and its glass top are secured by straight pins on either side of the box. All items are excavated relics ranging from excellent to fair condition. This group of Virginia excavated relics will be an excellent display for any office, den, or family room, and will also be a great gift for the American history buff.
