Item: Spencer Carbine Cartridge
Condition: Good, excavated. The bullet portion is in good form and has a dirty white-brown patina. Its brass cartridge case, with its green-brown patina, is cracked due to bullet solder expansion from ground action. One portion of the case rim is bent towards the bullet tip. The case is still solidly attached to the bullet but does need to be handled with care. The cartridge is not a "put-together" and has not been repaired.
Approximate size: .54 inch diameter; 1.69 inch length; 498 grains weight.

Comments: This Spencer cartridge will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet, cartridge, or general relic collection.
