Item: Gallager Carbine Cartridge Display
Caliber: .50
Condition: Excellent. The bullet portion has a grey patina. Its brass cartridge case, with its dull yellow brass patina, is in excellent form with no cracks, breaks, dents, or repairs.
Recovered: Unknown. (see Comments section below)
Approximate size: .539 inch diameter; 2 inch length; 516 grains weight.

Comments: Though I am not 100% certain, based on condition this Gallager cartridge is believed to have been one of several recovered from James River by the late Sam White. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet, cartridge, or general relic collection.
