Item: Spencer carbine cartridge, .52 caliber
Condition: Very good, excavated, dropped condition. The lead bullet itself has a waxy grey patina and the brass cartridge casing has a brown patina. There is a small fracture on one side of the casing which does not affect its structural integrity. A very thin layer of clear coat was applied to the casing to prevent any further issues with this area. The cartridge is in overall solid condition, with no holes, breaks, or repairs.
Comments: This cartridge is not a "put-together" and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet, cartridge, or general relic collection.
Approximate size: .542 inch diameter x 1.65 inch length.
