Backmark: "SCOVILL CO. / WATERBURY." dm
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 16 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. The rear has the recovery location of "CEDAR CREEK" marked in blue marker. No pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Cedar Creek, VA
Reference: Tice: GI225 Albert: GI 85
Comments: This button was acquired directly from the digger who took the time to indicate its recovery location on its back. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
