10 High-Grade Excavated General Service Eagle Coat Buttons

Ten high-grade excavated general service eagle coat buttons all recovered in the 1960s from Civil War sites involved in the Seven Days Battles occurring to the north and east of Richmond, VA. These buttons are some of the best of the best as far as condition is concerned for excavated examples. The all have very pleasing slick brown patinas with crystal clear eagles and secure shanks. Some have Scovill / Waterbury backmarks and some are blank. There are no pushes cracks, breaks, or repairs. These fine eagle buttons will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.  A small glass top display case will be included.
