This very old post-Civil War antique lantern is in good condition and its metal construction appears to be have been painted silver-grey at some point in time. The construction is solid and the heavy thick interior glass appears to be intact. The bottom portion, for interior access, will open and close with ease using its small latch. The lantern measures approximately 14 inches in height (from top of ring to bottom), is approximately 5 5/8 inches in diameter at bottom, and weighs approximately 3.2 pounds. It will be an excellent addition to any lantern collection.
