Item: Artillery "Crossed Cannons" Hat Insignia - High Quality
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with soldered on wire loops.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, wire attachment loops missing. The device has a very pleasing dusty brown patina. There are no cracks, breaks, bends or repairs. 
Approximate size: 1-3/4 x 3-1/4 inch.
Recovered: Sailor's Creek, VA area.

Comments: These devices are rarely found in this condition anymore and this example was acquired directly from the family of the digger who resided in the area of Sailor's Creek, VA. It will be an excellent addition to any Civil War insignia, artillery, uniform, or general relic collection.
