Ginger Beer Bottle - Trimmer Collection - Documented Provenance

SALE PENDING

This excavated ceramic ginger beer bottle was recovered from a hut site in Stafford County on January 10, 1999, by the late Glenn Trimmer of Virginia. The bottle is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs. Printed on the side in white paint is "1862-1863 / Found N.Y. Infantry Camp / Near Brooke Station VA / 10 January 1999 / Glenn A Trimmer" representing the bottle's provenance and signed by the digger.

Pages from the digger's second journal detailing the recovery of this bottle, and other items, are included in the additional images. Because the journal pages may contain exact recovery locations and other personal information, some of the information has been removed. Complete unredacted journal page copies for this relic will be included with its purchase.  Read more about Glenn Trimmer and his relic hunting by clicking this link: Glenn Trimmer Collection.

This beer bottle will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite or general relic collection.
