This excavated game die is in good condition and likely constructed of bone. While in camp soldiers would pass the time playing games which involved one or more die. This example was included with a collection of other excavated Civil War relics acquired by Virginia Relics. Many of the items were recovered from Virginia and Pennsylvania.
