Bullet Collection - Battery Island & Three Rivers Swamp, SC

SOLD

This group of both fired and unfired Civil War excavated bullets were recovered decades ago from two different locations, Battery Island and Three Rivers Swamp in South Carolina. They were acquired directly from the Virginia digger who recovered them. The brown woodsy coated bullets on the left side were excavated from the Battery Island area and the lighter colored bullets on the right were recovered from the Three Rivers swamp area. The group consists of approximately 98 bullets and other relics which include .58 caliber three-ring bullets, a couple of .69 caliber three-ring bullets, several .69 caliber round balls, several Confederate Enfield bullets, two bullets in wood, two friction primer tubes, and what is believed to be a brass Henry cartridge case. The bullets and other relics will be properly packaged and labeled for shipping to prevent them from blending together. An image of how the items are currently layed out will be included so the display can be reassembled as currently arranged. If requested, a large glass top display case can be included for an additional fee. These relics will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
