Bullet in Wood

This bullet in wood was recovered in the area of Five Forks, VA with a bullet lodged into it. The tree wood portion is larger than most that I typically offer, measuring 9-1/8 x 13-5/8 inches. The distorted bullet, securely lodged in the wood, is fairly large and is likely .58 or .69 caliber. This relic was acquired directly from the immediate family of the digger who hunted Civil War trails, campsites, and battle sites throughout central Virginia and adjacent states for several decades. The wood is stable and was marked with the digger's inventory number "RMIS0088". This relic will be an excellent addition to any Civil War battlefield, bullet, or general relic collection.
