This chunk of wood has a visible fired bullet or round ball still solidly lodged inside as shown in the images. The deformed bullet has a white patina. Both bullet wood weigh approximately 1 ounce and its overall dimensions are approximately 1-1/4 x 2-1/2 inches. There are no repairs. It was recovered from a Civil War site in the area of the Seven Days Battles which were a series of battles occurring June 25 to July 1, 1862, near Richmond, Virginia.
