Canister Shot

This iron canister shot measures approximately 1.48 inches in diameter and was recovered by Dennis Irvin in the area of Brandy Station, VA.  The iron has minimal pitting and is in very good condition.  It has been professionally cleaned and treated with electrolysis to stabilize the iron.  This canister shot would have been fired from a 12 pounder Napoleon cannon and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War artillery or general relic collection.  To read more about Dennis Irvin, click on the link with his name above.
