Item: Company Letter "H"
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass and wire loop.
Condition: Good, excavated, attachment device missing. Brown patina. There is a crack/break on the right side of the letter where it meets the crossbar visible in the first image. While the letter is still intact though fragile, it must be handled gently and best left in a display case which will be included at no additional charge. There are no bends or repairs.
Recovered: Unknown.
Approximate size: 1 x 1 inch.

Comments: According to renown Civil War insignia expert, Mike Singer, the letter "H" is particularly difficult to recover intact, which makes those that are a rarity. This example is from the Glenn Trimmer collection and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia or general relic collection.
