Item: Confederate 2.9-Inch Read-Parrott Case-Shot - Type I
Gun: 2.9-inch Parrott rifle.
Construction: Cast iron.
Fuzing: Copper adaptor for paper time fuze.
Sabot: Copper ring.
Approximate size: Weight: 9.8 pounds; Diameter: 2.85-inch; Length 8-7/8-inch. 
Condition: Excavated, very good, fired. Moderate overall pitting. Fuze adaptor and sabot both present. Visible lathe dimple on base as well as visible circular lathe lines on the sabot and adaptor. Deactivated.
Recovered: Seven Days Battles area of VA.
