Item: Confederate .58 Cal. Gardner Bullet - Marked "NEW MARKET LINE"
Condition: 
Good, excavated, unfired. The bullet has an overall white surface patina and a very light mold seam. The skirt is slightly out of round as indicated from the base view. On one side is printed "NEW MARKET LINE". The dark area between "NEW MARKET" and "LINE" is either the digger/collector's attempt to cover a mistake or surface flaw using his marker. 
Recovered: New Market, VA.
Approximate size: .574-inch. diameter, 1.061-inch. length, 503 grains weight.
