Item: Confederate .58 Cal. Gardner Bullet - Marked "NORTH ANNA / 11-80"
Condition: Excellent, excavated, unfired. The bullet has an overall white surface patina and a visible mold seam. On one side is printed "NORTH ANNA / 11-80" with the numerals "172" on the other.
Recovered: North Anna, VA.
Approximate size: .583-inch. diameter, 1.059-inch. length, 508 grains weight.

Comments: The number "172" is the digger or collector's attempt to identify the bullet using the "McKee & Mason" mentioned above. This very nice, marked Confederate Gardner bullet will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
