Item: Confederate Artillery Coat Button - "Lined A"
Backmark: Blank
Design: Lined Roman "A" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. The button has a very pleasing dusty greenish-brown patina. There is a moderate push to the left side of the "A". No cracks, breaks, or repairs. 
Recovered: Charles City County, VA.
Reference: Tice: CSA203A5 Albert: CS 102A3
Comments:  This artillery coat button was acquired directly from the digger, and it will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
