Item: Confederate Artillery Coat Button - Lined A

Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Design: Lined Roman letter "A" on a plain field.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Fair, excavated, shank present. Dusty brown-green patina. Moderate pushes to front and sides leaving a separation between the button back and front on one side. The front is still secure to back, however. The button is in solid shape with no movement between front and rear. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs.

Comments: This Confederate artillery coat button was acquired directly from the family of the local Virginia digger, and it will be an excellent example addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
