Design: Roman letter "C" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece with border.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Front excellent, rear fair, excavated, secure shank present. The front of the button has a rich brown patina with no pushes, cracks or breaks. A portion of the rear is missing and what remains is mostly solid with shank. There are no repairs.
Recovered: Unknown.

Comments: This Confederate cavalry coat button classification is rarely encountered and will be an excellent display piece for any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
